A Baker’s Delight

Felt like baking. . .

As a creative, I love exploring the various sides of me. Cooking is my first love, but baking is my second best. Whatever I can do, I honor them, because I see them as gifts – and I love sharing gifts. 😊

This was my first time making these biscuits and they came out perfectly. I’m an instructions guy. I follow the instructions to the tee, the first time so that I can see how it’s intended to be. Then after that I make my tweaks, if necessary. I’m very proud of myself and how it turned out. It’s very light, fluffy, and crumbles a bit as you bite into it. It’s Bisquick.

Then I decided, hum, I want something sweet. So I took out the Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Mix, made my flax egg, added some Country Crock Plant Butter, and it’s such a delight! See, I’m a chewy cookie person, so I like for it to break off into smaller pieces, and one by one its creamy – yet slight crunch melts in your mouth. Hmph, I’m getting excited just thinking about it. πŸ˜‹

Anyway, I hope you’re okay, and well. If anyone hasn’t told you this yet today, I love you! 😘

Have the most amazing day! πŸ’™πŸ˜

Do You Eat Your Seeds?

Do you eat your seeds?

More and more it’s becoming difficult to find watermelons with the seeds, everything is seedless now. You can only do the best with what you have, but really try to always get any fruit with the seeds or at best make sure it’s at least organic.

If it is seedless do not eat it. Seedless fruit are produced without fertilization. This process is known as parthenocarpy, and is typically done by applying synthetic growth substances to fruits through injection, in paste form, or by spraying. Additionally, seedless fruit contain more sugar and less minerals than seeded fruit. –@alkaline_vegan_news

Where Do You Get Your Protein From?

Where do you get your protein from?

That’s a question I get very often, and when I’m ordering an entree at a restaurant, they’ll ask, “no protein with that?” And of course I’m almost always giving the side eye.

As a society we’re not educated on what true protein is and where it comes from. Animals eat vegetation, so they get their protein from plants.
When we consume animals, we are essentially getting second hand protein, but along with that we’re getting diseases from consuming dead carnage.

But we must understand that it is far better to get our protein first hand from plants. Plants are a living source, so we are feeding our bodies life, that’s how we are meant to thrive.

Educate yourself and choose to eat life and not death.

When we are resistant to the things we feel are bad or negative, we are actually attracting more of that same energy/experience back into our lives.
